Three Leos

It really was a dull and gloomy day on the Costa del Sol, but it was warm enough for lunch on the beach

El cielo estaba nublado y hacía mal tiempo en la Costa del Sol, pero hacía bastante calor para almorzar en la playa

Finally the three dancing leos back together in the same place again! There was no way we were going to let some silly grey clouds ruin our lunch!
Por fin las tres leos bailarinas juntas de nuevo en un mismo lugar! No dejaremos que este cielo gris nos arruine el día

We shared a couple of jugs of tinto de verano, until food arrived.
Compartimos un par de jarras de tinto de verano hasta llegar la comida.

Then what seems to be a recurring tradition in many restaurants around here arrived: shots with the bill. Even if its lunchtime

It seems the sun was pleased with this so came out to say hey!

We were glued at the hip during our teenage years at dancing, the theatre, our successive nights out and parties in the summer. These are the girls I did the Astrals challenge with, remember I told you about that here?
Eramos inseparables en la adolescencia en clases de baile, el teatro, las noches de fiesta y salidas de verano. Y además, con éstas hize el reto de Astrals, te acuerdas aquí? 

Our birthdays are all in the Summer meaning we are all Leos, which is a nightmare when making decisions but our similar easy-going personalities means the fun never stops!

Las tres cumplimos años en el verano y compartimos el mismo horóscopo. Ser Leo es un desastre a la hora de tomar decisiones pero siempre encontramos la diversión con nuestro cáracter relajado!

On our walk back through La Cala we took a look at the 30 year anniversary of the Sur in English newspaper.

Then it was time to put spruce up, whack on some make-up, put flowers in our hear and head off to the Marbella Feria
Después llegó la hora de arreglarnos un poco más, pintarnos la cara, llevar flores en el pelo e ir a la feria de Marbella.

100 Calorie Brownies

I love brownies, especially ones with a quarter of the calories!

Me encantan los brownies, sobre todo los que tienen el cuarto de calorías!

I was sceptical when I first made The Londoner's 100 Cal Chocofudge Brownies, as healthy recipes usually mean no taste and I was imagining these brownies to be dry. 

Era toda un escèptica cuando hice los Chocofudge Brownies de 100 Cal de The Londoner por primera vez porque las recetas sanas normalmente igualan a: sin sabor. 

You should have seen the grin on my face when I first bit in to one of these chocolate delights!

Pues tenías que ver la sonrisa en mi cara cuando probé una de estas delicias por primera vez!

Mamma Mia Masters' Dinner

Friday night was the end of my masters dinner in Malaga.
El viernes fue la cena del máster en Málaga. 

We´ve finished our classes! But still have a long way to go until I properly finish.
Hemos acabado las clases! Pero todavía nos queda bastante para terminar.

Estefanía and I drove in together as we live furthest away and got a little snap-happy before finally arriving at the restaurant.
Estefanía y yo vinimos juntas en coche, ya que somos las que vivimos lo más lejos, y nos despistamos un rato tomando fotos antes de llegar al restaurante. 

Twilight is my favourite time of the day and Málaga looked absolutely stunning

Mi hora del día preferido es el crepúsculo y Málaga brillaba en esta luz

We chatted and nattered away and complained about all the work left for us to do

A cheesy, gooey mixture which I didn´t really like.

Soon our pizzas arrived and plates started flying everywhere!
Pronto llegaron las pizzas y empezaron a volar los platos por todos lados!

Waiters trying to wrestle their way in to hand you your food, people exchanging whole chunks of pizza, jugs of beer and tinto de verano being passed down here there and everywhere
Los camareros peleándose para pasarnos la comida, la gente intercambiando trozos de pizza, las jarras de cerveza y tinto de verano pasándose de un lado a otro

It felt like a proper big Italian family dinner
Parecía una verdadera cena familiar italiana 

Nobody escaped the gazing eyes of our two authentic Italians who judged and gave a nod of approval to what everyone ordered. 

Las verdaderas italianas en la mesa nos miraban fijamente a cada una, juzgando o dando el visto bueno a nuestro pedido 

I got the all clear, having ordered the Ruccola: serrano ham, parmesan cheese and ruccola
Aprobé con mi pizza rúcola: jamón serrano, queso parmesano y rúcola

Apparently it's a classic in Italy

The "Campera" on the other hand was frowned upon by our Italian superstars

Sin embargo, miraron con mala cara a la "Campera" 

It was a classic Spanish pizza: egg, Frankfurt sausages, chips and barbecue sauce

Una típica pizza española: huevo roto, salchicha frankfurt, patatas fritas y salsa barbacoa

So wrong, but actually quite good. 

We only have two boys on our masters. I think we scared them off cause neither one showed up.

Sólo tenemos a dos niños en el máster. Creo que nos temen porque ninguno vino a la cena. 

So our professor Marcos was in good company

Then it was time to go frolic without our professors

I'm going to miss these girls. They are all charming and have made the masters an unforgetable experience. They are the only ones that really know what it's like to survive Málaga University!
Voy a echar de menos a estas chicas. Son todas un encanto y las que realmente han convertido al máster en una experencia inolvidable. Son las únicas que saben lo que hemos tenido que sobrevivir en la UMA!

Sinful Sangria

We're just about to slip in to the weekend. It's Friday afternoon the end is in sight. The end of a long week, deserves a celebratory long drink with friends. 

El fin de semana está a punto de llegar. Es viernes por la tarde y esto ya se acaba. El fin de una larga semana, merece una copa de celebración con amigos.

So here we have it. Summer in a glass jug.
